BIOGRAPHY

Leon Henriques is a Manchester based artist whose work spans over various forms such as fine art, graphic design and moving image. He has a flare for cinematic storytelling, choosing to explore non conventional methods of narrative. Chiaroscuro in style he uses light to induce emotion into his work whether it is commercial, experimental, or narrative based. Leon also has a great awareness of his audience communicating visually, often leaving his work open to interpretation. HIs goal as an artist simply to hold a mirror to society often exploring satirical subjects.

 

Leon's latest film 'The Deal' a short underdog story that explores the emotional spectrum that comes inherently with competition. Produced, Directed and Wrote by Leon the film was shot in one shot, in a seamless collaborative effort of performance, cinematography and direction. The camera acting as a reactive eye following the subtle shifts in narrative. The film went on to get two nominations in the 'One Shot Short Film Competition' for best cinematography and best actor, and is still touring the festivals.

 

Leon is currently taking on commercial projects as well music videos, collaborating with some of the cities greatest up and coming artist.
